Police have charged a Doveton man with dumping a tip truck load of rubbish in Menzies Creek.
Emerald police allege the 32-year-old hired the vehicle to take the building site rubble to the tip but instead dropped it at Bobs Park, Aura Vale Lake.
They fined him for littering and he was responsible for clean-up and tip fees.
Police urged anyone with information about litter dumping to call the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) hotline on 1300 372 842.
