A DANDENONG North family woke to the sound of thieves stealing their car.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Sergeant Glen Cruse said the white Volkswagon hatch was parked in a Mollison Street driveway when it was stolen about 5.30am on 28 February.
He said thieves entered the home through a rear window and took a purse and car keys.
Sgt Cruse said the victims got up when they heard a car door open and close and the car start, but were unable to stop the theft.
