A 16-YEAR-OLD girl has miraculously survived after falling on the railway tracks at Hallam station just before a train hurtled over the top of her.
It’s understood the Narre Warren teenager has since told police she tripped and fell while trying to cross the railway line.
The driver of the city bound train on Friday 13 March is believed to have spotted the girl curled up in a ball on the tracks just before he hit the brakes, but the train still passed over where the girl had been.
The girl is not believed to have been injured.
Witnesses then drove the girl home where she was later interviewed by police.
Police have urged members of the public to stay safe and be aware near railway stations and train lines.
