Knife gang robs partygoer

A TEENAGER walking home from a party in Hallam was assaulted and had his phone and wallet stolen by a gang of attackers wielding knives.
The 15-year-old from Cranbourne East was walking home with friends around 4am on Saturday 4 April from the Keppel Drive party when two men driving a Suzuki got out of the car and physically threatened one of the teenagers.
Another car, a blue Commodore, arrived and more offenders approached the partygoers, with one attacker pulling a knife on the 15-year-old and demanding his phone.
The victim handed over his phone and then ran away but was pursued by three of the offenders on foot, who then assaulted him and stole his wallet as well.
The victim sustained bruising to his face in the incident.
Police are looking to speak to the other partygoers who were confronted by the offenders in the hope they may have more information.
Anyone who can help is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.
