Jobs to make an active connection

A JOB seeker service will itself generate four new jobs in Narre Warren, seven in Cranbourne and 14 in Dandenong and Springvale.
New Job Prospects program Jobactive was successful in a Department of Employment tender process for employment services.
Its five-year contract will officially start on 1 July and will result in 19 new offices across Victoria, including Narre Warren, Cranbourne, Dandenong and Springvale.
The employment services provider is a division of not for profit education, employment and youth services organisation SYC.
Job Prospects last year helped more than 36,000 people to find work and thousands of employers to find the right people for their businesses.
SYC Victorian operations manager Andrew Titley said the contract was a testament to Job Prospects’ track record.
“We’re committed to offering a quality service to local employers and job seekers here and are eager to open our doors.“
Job Prospects was established in South Australia in 1995 and came to Melbourne in 2009.
It currently operates 23 sites across Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales and will add 125 new employees in the expansion.
