Dandenong Bar hosts live music event to support Queensland flood relief

Happy Bar is turning up the volume for a good cause, set to host a live music event on April 5 from 6pm until late for Queenslanders affected by cyclone Alfred.

The event will feature live bands and musicians, drawing music lovers and pub rock fans for a night of entertainment.

Event organiser and sound engineer of over 40 years, John Reid, used to live in Queensland himself, moving to Melbourne just two years ago.

“The place where I rode my bike down the bottom of the road only two years ago, was under two metres of water.”

The charitable cause is also close to the heart of pub owner, Peter (Poeuve) You, who has family in Queensland that have been affected.

“We want a full house… It’d be great for everyone to contribute to the charity event.”

Entry is $85 per person, with $40 from each ticket going directly to the Salvation Army to support communities affected by recent flooding.
