Activities to warm up a super cold winter

CASEY Council is providing some warm entertainment to help the community through this long winter.
The City of Casey has just released its program for the 2015 Winter Arts Festival, which will run for three months from June to August.
Casey Mayor Mick Morland said the program featured a wonderful range of arts events and activities for people of all ages.
“Between June and August, Casey will be a hive of activity with music and dance events, theatre shows, exhibitions, art workshops and classes, as well as plenty of events designed for children,” he said.
“The festival aims to give local artists and groups exposure, while providing opportunities for the community to participate and appreciate the local arts in Casey.”
The activities will include an art bus tour, an open studio weekend, school holiday workshops, dance and music events, and visual arts exhibitions.
“The breadth of artistic talent in Casey is extensive, and the festival is a great opportunity to get out and about in your community and support our thriving arts community,” Cr Morland said.
“I encourage people to check out the program and pick out at least a few events throughout the festival to enjoy.
“It’s the perfect way to shake off the winter blues!”
