Police hunt for pair over stolen car raids

THE same stolen car was this week used in a petrol drive-off from a Hallam 7-Eleven and then a liquor store robbery.
Police said the white 1991 Subaru Liberty – registration ESD 567 – was stolen from Fountain Gate Shopping Centre between 8.55am and 6pm on Tuesday 30 May before it was involved later that night in the petrol drive-off at the 7-Eleven on the corner of Belgrave-Hallam and Frawley roads.
The Subaru was then used the day after, 1 July, by two men to flee Dan Murphy’s in Boronia after they allegedly stole alcohol from the store around 5.55pm.
While escaping, the Subaru driver crashed into three parked cars.
Police have released an image of the men they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.
If anyone has any information about either incident, please contact Detective Senior Constable Angela Butler on 9705 3107 at Casey Crime Investigation Unit, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
