Growing used to fresh food

FRESH fruit and vegies are now within easy reach for a school and charity in Endeavour Hills.
Rotary Club of Endeavour Hills, with support from Bunnings Dandenong, on 18 September planted vegetables and fruit trees at Gleneagles Secondary College.
Rotarian Geoff Brown said the club provided funding and help to build 16 elevated wicking garden beds, which will be used to teach Gleneagles students and to stock the kitchen at the neighbouring Andrews Centre.
The non-profit charity provides crisis support including meals, loans, vouchers, tutoring and advice.
Mr Brown said Rotarians previously provided $12,000 for the Andrews Centre to upgrade its kitchen.
