IN THE name of fun, the Doveton community rallied for a day of memory making.
It was Celebrate Doveton day on Friday 25 September and among the colour and the festivities locals had the chance to revel in all the good their community has to offer.
The Doveton Neighbourhood Learning Centre held the party in partnership with the Doveton Eumemmerring Township Association (DETA) with face painting, games and an historical photography display on the day.
President of DETA Sean Balfour said days like these are important to boost positivity in the region.
“There is so much depressing stuff happening around us today, this event is a great opportunity to focus on something good and enjoy ourselves,” Mr Balfour said.
A fun-loving approach for a growing township, the day was all about looking back on the past century of Doveton and forward to a sunny future.
