Park it for summer movies under the stars

THERE’S no better way to celebrate Christmas then sitting back and watching a movie.
Casey Council is encouraging residents to pack a picnic and head along to the picturesque Wilson Botanic Park in Berwick to enjoy a movie under the stars this summer.
This City of Casey has kicked of its Sunset Cinema Series, which will see a family flick played on the big screen each Friday night in the open-air amphitheatre at the botanical park from now until March next year.
“This is a wonderful way to kick back in the tranquil surrounds of WBPB with family or friends and enjoy a movie that won’t break the bank,” Casey mayor Sam Aziz said.
“There will be activities and entertainment at the park from 7pm, prior to the movie getting underway at dusk, as well as food and drink vendors on site for event goers to purchase snacks on the night.”
Tickets for the Sunset Cinema Series are available on the night and cost $10 for adults, $5 for children/concession, or $25 for a family (two adults and two children).
