COUNCILLOR Rosalie Crestani will run for the Rise Up Australia Party in Senate elections on 2 July on a platform of limiting Muslim immigration.
“The more you let through, the more chance you get that a small number of Muslims that want to blow everyone up enter the country,” Cr Crestani said.
She said “nine of 10 Australians” supported Rise Up Australia policies, such as limiting Halal food and sharia law and financing.
Calling a double-dissolution election – which spills all 12 Victorian Senate seats – may make her party’s task easier, she said.
Cr Crestani will be number two on the party ticket behind leader Daniel Nalliah of Catch the Fire Ministries.
