A Doveton man will face court over an alleged sexual assault in Carrum Downs.
Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged the 31-year-old with sexual assault on Tuesday 27 February.
Investigators were told a 16-year-old girl was waiting at a bus stop on Frankston-Dandenong Road just before 3pm on 22 November last year.
They said a man allegedly approached her, struck up a conversation and then sexually assaulted.
The Doveton man was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 2 May.
Investigators thanked members of the public who responded to an appeal for information, which led to the arrest.
