ONLY months after the FIFA World Cup, there’s been another prestigious sporting cup held this year – this time in Casey.
Last Monday, year 9 students from Gleneagles Secondary College ran the Gleneagles Cup – a sporting extravaganza for kids from primary schools throughout the region.
The students, who came to Gleneagles for the day-long tournament, were guided by the year 9 students in a range of sports, including volleyball, basketball, netball and soccer.
Over the past few weeks Gleneagles students, trained in particular sports, have visited the primary schools to coach the younger kids.
News photographer Stewart Chambers was on the scene to capture all the rip-roaring action from the Gleneagles Cup.
Cup’s full of good sports
