Spring may have sprung… but the heat is on

THE Spring Racing Carnival may have concluded with a very successful Sportingbet Sandown Guineas Day however the Melbourne Racing Club will stage another exciting day on Saturday (December 6).
Feature event is the Listed $120,500 Doveton Stakes (1000 metres) on Sportingbet Park Sandown Hillside track.
The meeting also has seven other events worth $80,000 each and one with $40,000 prizemoney.
Some very good horses have won the Doveton Stakes since 1985 including Star Pyramul (1986), Rancho Ruler (1988), Alishan (1992), Mookta (1993), Kapchat (1994), Alannon (1995), Prince Rubiton (2002), Apache Cat (2007), Catipulted (2012) and last year, Vatican.
The event is sure to attract another excellent field with entries closing on Monday.
Sportingbet Park, Sandown is the major sporting venue in the South Eastern Suburbs and provides a complete entertainment package with quality horse racing and ample family entertainment.
