Springvale sizzles into the New Year

Crowds, traders and entertainers braved sweltering heat at annual Springvale Lunar New Year celebrations on Sunday 4 February.

Photographer ROB CAREW captured many of the festivities, including spectacular lion dances, performances, rides and 80 different cuisine stalls.

One of the glorious highlights was a huge lion dance parade by Hung Hing Lion Dance Association that weaved through central Springvale.
