Cycling logo design on course

Jayco founder Gerry Ryan, Summer of Cycling winner Emmanuel Rigopoulos, Jayco 40th anniversary winner Megan Griffiths and Jayco digital marketing co-ordinator Chris Blunden.

DANDENONG students are learning with help from local manufacturer Jayco.
Their Chisholm Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design course included designing logos for Jayco’s 40th anniversary and the Jayco Summer of Cycling.
Jayco founder Gerry Ryan and digital marketing co-ordinator Chris Blunden selected the best design for each and announced the winners at Chisholm’s 311 Lonsdale Street campus on 16 October.
“When we deal with professionals we often have to have multiple edits but some of the designs we saw today are just ready to go – we don’t have to change it,” Mr Ryan said.
“The process was win-win, with students getting the opportunity to work to a real brief and hear feedback from real clients, while Jayco was able to get some fresh concepts and engage with a new audience about their upcoming projects.”
Emmanuel Rigopoulos was awarded the best design for the Summer of Cycling campaign.
The logo will be used in a mass media campaign across T-shirts, newspapers and television.
He said the award would help his folio because he aspired to be a graphic design freelancer working in multimedia or as a web developer.
Megan Griffiths designed the best Jayco 40th anniversary logo.
She works as a freelance graphic designer but hopes the qualification will allow her to take her business to a new level.
