THIS is the last edition of the Journal News for 2014.
The Journal News was created specifically to cover news and events in Doveton, Eumemmerring, Hallam and Endeavour Hills, while also taking a regional look at issues in both the City of Casey and the City of Greater Dandenong.
Among the events that have made news this year was the dramatic shooting of a young Muslim extremist at the Endeavour Hills Police Station, the mysterious murder of Rani Featherston in Doveton and the ongoing challenge to support asylum seekers and refugees.
There have also been stories of hope, of great achievement and of incredible generosity on the part of individuals and organisations within the community.
We hope readers have enjoyed their weekly Journal News and we look forward to bringing you more news and events as they happen in 2015.
The first edition of the Journal News in 2015 will be published on 12 January.
In it we will take a look back at 2014 and also announce our Person of the Year.
