CASEY police are urging residents to keep their cars locked after a spate of thefts since Christmas.
It’s understood there have been 113 reported thefts from cars in Casey as of 1 January.
On the weekend more than 20 cars were broken into in Berwick’s Eden Rise Estate, half of which were left unlocked.
Police believed car windows were smashed open in the estate when valuables were left in clear sight, including handbags, wallets, phones and laptops.
