Brain injury after woman attacked

AN ELDERLY woman sustained a fractured eye socket and bleeding on the brain during a vicious attack in Endeavour Hills.
Police have urged anyone who has information about the attack on the 64-year-old woman to come forward.
On 2 January this year the lady was gardening at her home along James Cook Drive.
Police believe she was pushed in the back and said she could remember waking up on the front footpath outside her house.
They said when the women awoke and saw her injuries she called paramedics who took her to The Alfred hospital where she remained for a couple of days.
Police said they did not have any description of the offender or offenders and said there was no obvious motive.
They have appealed for anyone in the area or any people involved to come forward and contact the Casey Criminal Investigation Unit.
