Call for white van man to step up

A VAN driver who assisted an elderly mugging victim is being urged to come forward to help identify the attackers.
Two men attacked the 78-year-old man with sticks and stole his wallet as he walked along Box Street, Doveton, about 9.30pm on Friday 6 February.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Kim Alp said the attackers were about 183 centimetres tall, Caucasian, aged in their mid-30s and wearing jackets.
She said the victim sought help from the driver of a passing white van and police would like to speak to this man and any other witnesses.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
