Comedy is on the breakfast table

BUSINESS women can grab a bite and get inspired at an International Women’s Day event in Springvale.
South East Business Networks (SEBN) will hold its first Showcasing Women in Business breakfast for the year on Friday 6 March at Highways.
In partnership with the City of Greater Dandenong Healthy Workplaces team, it will present comedian and writer Nelly Thomas as the morning’s key speaker.
Nelly fell into comedy in 2002 after working in the welfare and education sectors.
A talent agent spotter her on a women’s forum and she was performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland six months later.
Today Nelly regularly plays festivals and pub and club gigs but also combines comedy with social and health promotion messages.
Email SEBN@cgd.vic.gov.au for more information.
