Man’s jaw broken in mugging

A MAN was knocked out and left with a broken jaw and a severe eye injury after he was robbed and assaulted while walking through parklands in Narre Warren earlier this month.
The victim was approached when he was walking through a park on the corner of Darling Way and Upton Crescent.
Police believe two offenders approached the victim and used force to steal his cigarettes.
It is alleged they also demanded his wallet, however when the victim refused one offender punched him from behind and knocked him unconscious.
It’s believed the victim had his mobile phone as well as his car and house keys stolen, and was treated by paramedics before he was taken to Monash Medical Centre in Clayton.
One of the males was described as Caucasian, slim, around 175 centimetres tall and wearing dark clothing including a hoodie.
He is also believed to be about 18 or 19 years of age.
The other man was also described as Caucasian with a solid build and about 170 centimetres tall.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
