Get the right balance

BALANCED Insight Psychology and Just for Kids Psychology in Endeavour Hills offers just what its name suggests, a balanced, relaxed and supportive environment for all ages to receive specialized support when life throws a curve ball.
The diverse team of psychologists and counsellors have been providing tailored support in Endeavour Hills for two years and offer bulk billing for family healthcare card holders.
The support service treats a wide range of psychological issues including autism, ADHD, oppositional defiance, anger and behavioural management and anxiety and depression.
Psychologist and owner Lis Arnheim has worked in the field for more than 20 years and said the clinic’s relaxed space is what makes it different.
“Our practice is unlike regular clinics instead we provide a down-to-earth environment, our clinic has a homely feel which allows clients to feel safe, calm and more relaxed.
“Our staff are skilled in a wide range of qualifications from psychology, counselling, mental health and applied behavioural analysis therapy,” Ms Arnheim said.
“We work as a team, we are diverse, enthusiastic, friendly and approachable.”
The clinic organises a free function for young patients and their families each year at Christmas to celebrate their progress.
“We provide groups for children that are psycho-social and psycho-educational which are tailored to meet each child’s learning needs.”
Other assessments offered at the clinic include cognitive, autism, behavioural, learning disabilities, emotional, giftedness and special needs funding as well as social skills groups, early intervention and sensory play.
“All of our staff are down to earth and care for the needs of our clients whole-heartedly, we provide services that are tailored to meet the needs of children, adolescents and adults,” Ms Arnheim said.
Balanced Insight Psychology and Just for Kids Psychology are open Tuesday to Saturday and can accommodate late night appointments.
