Trains halted after Narre Warren fatality

TRAIN services have been suspended on part of the Pakenham line after a person was fatally struck by a train in Narre Warren.
Ambulance paramedics were called to assist the person hit by a city-bound train near Narre Warren railway station about 7.45am.
Fire crews helped about 400 passengers to disembark from the train about 8.40am.
Metro Trains has announced buses are replacing city-bound and out-bound trains between Berwick and Dandenong until 10.45am.
A police spokeswoman said a report would be prepared for the State Coroner.
