Latitude’s attitude

A DANDENONG South developer took home a national award last week.
Latitude 37 Group won the Australian Professional Medium Builder/Renovator of the Year title at the HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards, held on the Gold Coast.
HIA represents more than 40,000 buildings, suppliers and contractors involved in residential construction.
Managing director Shane Goodwin said industry professionals selected winners from state-based finalists and the awards reflected the increasingly diverse and competitive Australian housing industry.
Custom design and build company Latitude 37 was established in 2006 and specialises in knock down and rebuild projects, particularly on sloping sites and unique blocks.
It also offers a pre-designed range under the Esperance Homes brand.
Latitude 37 employs about 60 industry professionals dedicated to delivering its vision ‘Happy Clients, Great Homes’.
“We have a dedicated team who share a passion for the design and delivery of innovative, unique homes offering great value for our clients,” managing director Doug MacLeod said.
“We pride ourselves on our individual, client-focused approach.”
The company builds up to 60 custom homes each year throughout Melbourne’s eastern, bayside and south eastern suburbs, plus several Esperance Homes and multi-unit townhouse projects for select developers.
The Australian Housing Awards gong will have to fight for space in the Latitude 37 trophy cabinet, which already contains more than 14 awards.
