Man asleep at the wheel of stolen car

A WOMAN found her stolen car parked in Endeavour Hills with a man asleep behind the wheel, hours after it was taken from her house.
The woman spotted her stolen 2013 Toyota Camry just after 9pm on Friday 7 August, in the Uniting Church car park in John Fawkner Drive, with the alleged thief sleeping behind the wheel at the time.
Police attended the scene and arrested the man, aged in his twenties.
The $32,000 car was stolen from the woman’s Thomas Mitchell Drive home earlier that day.
The offender was charged with multiple thefts from motor car, burglaries and for the stolen Camry.
He has been bailed to appear in court next month.
