POLICE believe two attempted robberies in Hallam this month were linked, with a medical clinic and a supermarket both targeted.
It’s believed the intruders broke into the basement of the medical and dental clinic, on Saffron Drive, by smashing the window between 9pm on Monday 7 and 1pm on Tuesday 8 September.
Once inside the intruders tried to jimmy open an internal door but were unable to.
Meanwhile about 5am on 8 September, the same morning, an alarm was triggered at the Al-noor supermarket in nearby Spring Square after an intruder tried to break in through the rear door but failed.
Nothing was stolen during either attempt.
Detective Sergeant Rodney Maroney, from Narre Warren CIU, said the two incidents were “more than likely linked.”
