Talent in the line-up

WITH the auditions for the 2015 Casey’s Got Talent now done, an impressive line-up of local talent has been selected to take to the stage in the final on Saturday 24 October.
Tickets are now on sale for the Casey’s Got Talent Mayoral Charity Concert, to be held at the River Gum Performing Arts Centre, where 21 local acts will battle it out in the hope of being crowned the winners and collecting a range of great prizes.
River Gum Ward councillor and Casey’s Got Talent co-organiser Wayne Smith encouraged residents to book their tickets now for the final.
“The auditions were of a high-calibre and as a result, the final is shaping up to be a wonderful event showcasing the many talented individual and group performers from across Casey,” Cr Smith said.
“The audience can expect to be entertained by singers, dancers and instrumentalists from ages five and up, who were selected as finalists following the audition process.”
Springfield Ward councillor and Casey’s Got Talent co-organiser Louise Berkelmans said the concert was not to be missed.
“Casey’s Got Talent is one way council supports and celebrates our wonderful performing arts community by giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent, gain experience and exposure and receive recognition.
“All proceeds from the charity concert will go to kids’ diabetes camps, which run camps for children with type one diabetes and their parents, to bring families together, facilitate peer support and to reduce stress and isolation.
“I encourage people to book their tickets now for the final and enjoy a night out supporting our local performers and a great local charity,” Cr Berkelmans concluded.
The Casey’s Got Talent Mayoral Charity Concert will be held on Saturday 24 October from 7pm at the River Gum Performing Arts Centre, 58-96 Fordholm Road, Hampton Park.
Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased by visiting www.casey.vic.gov.au/caseysgottalent, and tickets are also available on the door.
