A Range Rover stolen from a home garage has been crashed into a pole in Doveton.
Kingston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have been told that a woman took the four-wheel-drive from a garage in Governor Arthur Drive, Patterson Lakes, about 7am on 18 October.
The owner heard the woman start the car, ran to the garage and tried to open the door but she drove off, police said.
At 8.15am the vehicle crashed into a pole near the intersection of Paperbark Street and Hawthorn Road in Doveton.
The woman, described as Caucasian and in her 30s, stopped the vehicle in a nearby car park and fled.
