AT LEAST 10 Yamaha motorbikes were stolen in a brazen Hallam ram-raid over the weekend.
It’s believed a stolen Toyota Hilux and trailer were used in the ambitious theft, in which at least 10 boxed on-road and off-road dirt bikes worth about $100,000 were stolen from the Yamaha Motor store.
The thieves rammed the Westpool Drive garage just after 1am on Sunday 1 November, and the Toyota Hilux and trailer were found the next morning dumped and burnt-out in King Road, Harkaway.
One stolen bike was found with the dumped car but the rest are still missing.
Yamaha staff are still collecting an inventory of the stolen bikes but it’s believed at least 10 have been stolen.
