Sporting a bandanna for cancer

THERE were bandannas aplenty at Mossgiel Park Primary last week.
Both students and teachers from the Endeavour Hills school wore bandannas in support of Canteen National Bandanna Day last Friday 30 November.
The school raised $1500 in the process, which will go towards the cancer fund-raiser.
“Thousands of young people in Australia each year get told the very sad news that they have cancer,” teacher Lyn Pentland said.
“The bandanna was chosen as a symbol for this day because sometimes cancer treatments mean people can lose their hair.
“During this time, many young people choose to wear a bandanna.”
