THE assistant principal of an Endeavour Hills high school where 39 windows were smashed last month said the damage was a waste of taxpayers’ money.
Police are searching for three men who went on a rampage at Gleneagles Secondary College, about 10.30pm on Wednesday 14 October, smashing 39 windows and leaving the school with a $13,500 damage bill.
The men were all wearing hoodies and scarves when they smashed up the Reema Boulevard school, with one of them allegedly seen hitting one of the windows with a hammer.
The windows have since been repaired.
Assistant principal Kathie Toth said everyone at the school had been “disappointed” by the incident, noting the money could’ve been better spent on other things for the school.
“It was significant damage, and its taxpayers’ money being wasted,” she said.
