TWO Comancheros from the bikie club’s Hallam chapter – including the group’s commander – were arrested this morning (Friday) following raids in Narre Warren and Dandenong.
And the bomb squad has been called to the Narre Warren property after explosives were allegedly found in a car.
The two men were arrested by the Echo Taskforce this morning in relation to a shooting at a restaurant in Preston just over a month ago.
Police were called to the High Street restaurant about 3.40am on Saturday 24 October after there were reports of several gunshots being fired inside.
No-one was injured in the shooting, and the alleged offenders fled before police arrived.
On Friday 4 December the 29-year-old commander of the Comancheros Hallam chapter was arrested at a property in Fredrick Street, Dandenong, while another 24-year-old member of the bikie gang was arrested at a property in Narre Warren on Heatherton Road.
During the search of the Narre Warren property detectives found a large number of guns, and what appeared to be explosives were found in a car.
The area has been cordoned off and the Bomb Response Unit has been called in.
Police also found a small amount of what is believed to be methylamphetamine at the Dandenong property.
Both men are in custody and being interviewed by police.
