Fireworks wow crowd

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

FOR most of the 1000-strong crowd the highlight of the Endeavour Hills Christmas Carols is the fireworks show which ends the event.
But that’s not to say all the singing and entertainment that occurs beforehand is taken for granted.
The annual Endeavour Hills Community Carols will again take place this month on Saturday 12 December at the South Eastern Christian Centre on Gleneagles Drive.
Organiser Amanda said there would be a lot of entertainment to choose from on the night including the plethora of fan-favourite carols, hip hop dancing and enjoyable music from the Casey Concert Band.
“It’s great to be able to do this for the community and celebrate Christmas for the community and welcome everyone here,” Amanda said.
“We have the opportunity for people to celebrate and we definitely get a lot of locals down.”
And when it comes to the fireworks at the end of the show – set off from nearby Barry Simon Reserve – Amanda said there was nothing better than seeing the wonder on everyone’s face.
“They love it,” Amanda said.
“You can hear lots of gasping and lots of ‘wows’.”
For more information on the Endeavour Hills Community Carols, which will run from 5pm to 9pm on 12 December, contact the South Eastern Christian Centre on 9700 2314.
