The colour of charity

CASEY’S budding athletes are tickled pink at the prospect of taking part in this month’s colour run.
The Casey in Colour Run will take place on Saturday 30 January with all money going towards the Reach Foundation.
Mayor Sam Aziz has urged the community to get involved.
“This is a fun and healthy event which is perfect for all fitness levels,” he said.
“It is an opportunity for people of all ages to spend a fun-filled day out with family and friends in the local area and aims to raise awareness of issues facing young people.”
The Casey in Colour Run – to be held at Akoonah Park and organised by council’s youth volunteer committees – involves either a 2.5km or 5km run where participants are showered in multi-coloured powder along the way.
Casey in Colour is supported by the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments and is a fully supervised drug, alcohol and smoke-free event.
For more information, contact the City of Casey Customer Service on 9705 5200, visit the council’s website at www.casey.vic.gov.au/youth, or visit the youth Facebook page at www.facebook.com/caseyyouth.
