Injured in crash

By ANEEKA SIMONIS

A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious head injuries and another two people were treated for chest pain following a multi-car accident on the Monash Freeway.
Paramedics were called out to the crash near the South Gippsland Highway exit on the freeway in Doveton at about 9.50pm on Monday (7 March).
A man and a woman thought to be aged in their twenties were treated on the scene for chest pains.
They were later transferred to the Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition.
Another woman, also believed to be aged in her twenties, was transferred to The Alfred hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Images taken at the scene show two cars badly damaged, one a Toyota Yaris with significant rear damage.
It appears the driver’s door was removed from the vehicle by attending fire-fighters.
The other car, a ute with green P-plates, sustained front damage as a result of the smash.
