A CAR used in an armed robbery in Canterbury turned up burnt out in Doveton.
Police were told a man armed with a hammer and knife entered the convenience store on Canterbury Road, about 3am on Tuesday 26 April.
The offender threatened the attendant and made demands for cash.
A small amount of cash was handed over and the bandit fled the scene.
It is believed he drove away in a stolen Nissan Pulsar and fled travelling north on Station Street towards Box Hill.
The car was subsequently found torched in Doveton two days later.
Investigators have released images of a man that may be able to assist them.
