Victim’s hand almost cut off

A STABBING victim’s hand was almost cut off by an intruder during a knife attack in his Doveton home.
Detectives are continuing their hunt for the attacker after the 22 March raid.
Armed Crime Squad detectives said the 51-year-old man victim suffered several stab wounds that almost severed his hand during the aggravated burglary in Chestnut Road about 2.45am.
Police were told a man had forced his way into the home, assaulted the victim and fled on foot.
The intruder is described as Caucasian, 175-180 centimetres tall, of medium-to-solid build with dark hair.
