Hands up for loads of fun

By CAM LUCADOU-WELLS

WITH a bit of imagination, even a sock or a newspaper could be turned into a charismatic friend at Casey Winter Arts Festival puppet workshop in Doveton on 29 June.
Award-winning About Face Productions put on the internationally-touring show-cum-workshop Puppet Power!
The performers – and then the young audience – turned ordinary objects into finger, glove, rod and shadow puppets.
Among the many Winter Arts Festival attractions to come is a Grand Imaginarium – including an electric puppet – at the Old Cheese Factory, Berwick on 5 to 7 July.
The Big Freeze, which includes a snow pit, winter slides, giant snow globe and snow forest, is on at Cranbourne Racecourse.
