Big hair, bright leotards, Flashdance leg warmers – all the stops will be out at a Zumbathon fundraiser in Narre Warren on 7 July.
Organiser and personal trainer Carmen Charlton has made a fun habit out of Cancer Council fundraisers over the past five years.
She has held up to six a year for young-and-old including dodgeball, Amazing Race, movie and trivia nights and bingo at her studio, raising $35,000 for cancer research along the way.
Like many, Ms Charlton has lost more than enough loved ones to the “horrible” disease.
“It’s close to my heart. But who’s not affected by cancer?”
At the two-hour Zumbathon, expect lots of exercise, giveaways and lairish ’80s costumes.
It is on 7 July from 7-9pm at Don Bosco Primary School, 496 Princes Highway, Narre Warren.
