A DOVETON man has been charged by police in Chelsea.
The 30-year-old Doveton man was arrested alongside a 29-year-old Chelsea man at a home in Golden Avenue, Chelsea, on Wednesday 20 July.
The Doveton man was charged with handling stolen goods and firearms offences and has been bailed to appear at Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court in September.
Investigators executed a warrant at the home on Wednesday and allegedly located firearms, ammunition and a stolen vehicle at the address.
The Chelsea man has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in July. He was charged with theft of motor vehicle, conduct endangering life, firearms offences, handling stolen goods, evading police and numerous traffic offences.
It’s alleged he was involved in three pursuits in Wangaratta in April, a pursuit at Wallan and another pursuit at Chelsea both in May.
Police believe the Doveton man was not involved in the pursuits.
