New-look boulevard dreams

THE Endeavour Hills town centre is set to take on a whole new life by September with $300,000 being poured into the first stage of the project.
Casey council is investing $600,000 to develop a boulevard along Heatherton Road, outside the Endeavour Hills Shopping Centre.
City of Casey Mayor Sam Aziz said stage one will involve replacing poor quality vegetation with new exotic red oak trees and installing new banners along the boulevard.
“These works will improve the amenity and environment and create a leafy boulevard look and feel leading to the Endeavour Hills town centre,” Cr Aziz said.
“The new trees and banners are the first stage of this project, with further improvements including the construction of footpaths to be made down the track.
“As well as delivering for our new communities, council is committed to improving and enhancing our established suburbs and this project is a great example of that.”
The mayor added that the boulevard will create a sense of arrival to the town centre which the council is working to improve.
“This project complements a number of other improvement works currently being undertaken by council as part of the Endeavour Hills Community Precinct Masterplan.”
