Where next for the City of Casey?
That’s the question to be asked at more than 60 community engagement opportunities from now until 16 September.
Casey Next is the biggest community engagement activity ever undertaken by the council.
Mayor Sam Aziz said the council wanted to hear from as many residents as possible through Casey Next.
“As part of this project, council will be taking our community engagement to residents with pop-up stands at community events and locations across Casey, as well as targeted workshops for different demographics including children, youth, older people and culturally diverse communities. This will be supported by online engagement so everyone has the opportunity to have their say,“ he said.
“To ensure council better understands the Casey community’s expectations and prioritises and deliver our services and infrastructure in line with what residents want, we need to continually reach out and consult with community members and stakeholders.
“Feedback received from the community through Casey Next will be used to refresh the council vision for the future and inform the next four-year Council Plan, ensuring it reflects the needs, expectations and ambitions of the Casey community, existing and new.“
Residents can also share their vision for Casey’s future by answering questions online at caseyconversations.com.au/caseynext until 16 September, or by picking up a postcard from City of Casey Customer Service Centre.
Residents that fill out the survey will go in the running to win Explore Casey experience packs, a $500 bicycle package, $200 voucher to kit yourself out with some active wear or sports equipment and a Fitbit to track your adventures around Casey.
