THE shooting death of a man in his late 20s at a house in Doveton is being investigated as a suicide after initially being looked at as suspicious by police.
Emergency services were called to the residence on Chestnut Road in Doveton at about 4.45am where the man was found dead.
The man was found with a single gunshot wound to his head and a handgun was found nearby.
Homicide detective attended the scene but ruled the man’s death as not suspicious and the incident is being investigated by the Casey Crime Investigation Unit.
