Out on a limb

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

A Hallam woman has reasons to be thankful after four fire tucks arrived on Coral Drive in Hallam to retrieve her from a tree.
The woman climbed the tree to fetch a drone for her sons and became stuck in the tree’s branches.
Her sons called emergency services to help her, shortly before 3pm on Tuesday 28 February.
A truck from Dandenong, a truck from Hallam and a truck from Hampton Park were dispatched to help the women out of the tree.
It took CFA crews about 15 minutes to get the woman down from the tree, who after an assessment by Ambulance Victoria was found to have no injuries.
