A man drives into a bar …

By Casey Neill

A driver landed in a tight spot at the pub after trying to flee from police in Hallam.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said officers tried to intercept a Ford Festiva sedan on Hallam Road about 1.20pm on Friday 10 March.
The driver allegedly took off and tried to squeeze the car between the bar entrance and a brick pillar at the Hallam Hotel and became wedged.
Police apprehended the driver, who assisted them with their inquiries.
The Hallam Hotel declined to comment.
