Power in savings

A $12,400 grant will help a Hallam manufacturer to save twice as much cash each year.
Planex received an Energy Efficiency Assessment Grant to examine energy use.
The second generation family-run business has built storage solutions since 1972.
It’s predicted that Planex will save about $24,000 on energy each year following the audit.
This will come from an oven upgrade, installing variable speed drives in suitable motors and fixing air and steam leaks.
The $6.1 million Boosting Business Productivity initiative offers businesses energy, gas and materials efficiency assessment grants for expert assessments to identify potential energy efficiency improvements.
