A female driver has died in a crash on Police Road in Mulgrave this afternoon (4 March).
Police say a car reportedly left the road and crashed into a tree about 3.40pm.
A child in the back seat of the car was uninjured, but the driver could not be revived by emergency services at the scene.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
