A man died following a three-vehicle crash in Hallam.
Emergency services attended the Princes Highway scene just before 12.50pm on Sunday 10 September.
Police believe a car was travelling west when it crossed the centre median strip and collided with two vehicles travelling east.
The driver and sole occupant of the west-bound vehicle, believed to be a man in his thirties, died at the scene despite efforts from paramedics to revive him.
Two women aged in their twenties who were travelling east in a Holden sedan sustained minor injuries and were transported to Royal Melbourne and Box Hill hospitals.
A man who was in the same car was not injured.
A woman travelling east in a Lexus was also uninjured.
Princes Highway was closed in both directions between the South Gippsland Freeway and Belgrave-Hallam Road.
Police urged anyone who witnessed the collision to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
